FAQ’s

There are many questions that you may have before you begin care with us (and even after)!

Hopefully these give you some insight, and if you still have more questions, please feel free to ask us at any time!

  • That's a great question! In our office, we often use a combination of low force adjusting, known as "tonal" adjusting, to accomplish the result we are looking for. For others, we may use a low-force instrument to make the adjustment, which is a small spring-loaded adjusting tool that offers a similar result as a traditional "pop and crack" hand adjustment.

The main difference with either the low-force tonal adjustment, or the instrument-based adjustment, is the "amplitude" or "depth" of the adjustment, versus the chiropractic adjustment you may be familiar with.

While chiropractic adjustments are well-established and have an excellent safety record overall, many people find that the "push" and "twist" in chiropractic adjustments on their neck and low back is too heavy or abrupt, or they don't enjoy the popping and cracking that results from an adjustment.

With this tool, the same positive effect into the nervous system and spine occurs in the body when we use the instrument (the body receives the healing effect the same way), but, the spine and joints don't need to be "pushed" so abruptly. With adjusting, it's more about "speed" than "heavy push" to get the positive effects, so if we can accomplish this as gently as possible, we think that is a win-win!

If you are curious about specific techniques, we use a combination of tonal analysis and techniques such as Torque Release Technique and Tonal Integrative Correction, as well as integrative exercise, holistic functional nutrition, and strengthening protocols to complement overall wellness.

Unfortunately, there are also some conditions where chiropractic hands-on therapy is contraindicated. If this is the case, we can discuss alternative exercises and therapies, and we will gladly help you find a provider who we believe can help you outside of our area of expertise in our professional network.

  • To provide you with the best service, and to allow us to offer our care in a way that we feel will get you the best outcomes long-term, we are not in-network with any insurance companies, and are a 100% cash pay clinic.

We are happy to supply superbills with the necessary documentation available for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if requested, but we are unable to offer advice as to what may be covered under your specific policy.

Unfortunately, due to Federal Regulations, we are also unable to serve Medicare and Medicaid patients at this time.

  • The short answer is no, we do not have contracts, long-term commitments, memberships, or discounted pre-pay specials.

We have tailored our care in a way that allows us to spend time getting to know you and your case one on one. Our commitment is to know you by name, and be your partner and advocate in your health journey, wherever you are at. We have purposefully capped our capacity to ensure each patient of ours is given the time and energy they deserve.

At the first visit, we will get to know you, and then we will perform a thorough exam to make sure chiropractic care is safe and right for you. As well, we will answer any questions you may have about what we are finding.

After this visit, we will make recommendations that we feel will get you the best results based on your specific case.

If this involves referring you to another provider who can take care of you best, we will do so.

We are here to make sure that you feel empowered and informed in your decision making either way.

  • Definitely! We evaluate, exam, and take the time to get to know everyone young and old before administering chiropractic care.

A calm, regulated nervous system for moms is very important for stress reduction, clarity of thought, and resilience. We believe that in conjunction with plenty of sunshine, outdoor play, whole foods, and love - chiropractic is an excellent supportive health practice that will help everyone to thrive!

For our pregnant moms, our methods of adjusting offer the benefits and safety of gentle chiropractic, and we can also support the body's natural ability to self-regulate through purposeful exercises. The Webster Technique was specifically developed to help the mother's body reduce tension and may help ensure that the expectant mother’s pelvic bones, muscles and ligaments are balanced. Here is an article from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association detailing more about the Webster Technique.
